Hidden Acres Thoroughbred Rescue Fundraisers

GlobalGiving.org April Challenge

Dear Friends and Fellow Horseman,

For those that are not familiar with me, my name is Suzanna Norris.  I am the owner of Hidden Acres Equestrian Center, and the President/Founder of Hidden Acres Thoroughbred Rescue (501c3) in Brevard County.  Like many of you I live, sleep, and breathe horses and my life would be incomplete without them.  I have rescued and helped horses all my life, but after finding out about the vast number of racehorses that go literally from racetrack to slaughterhouse in just days I decided to make it my life’s mission to help as many of these horses as I can through fundraising and awareness efforts.

April is a very exciting month for Hidden Acres Thoroughbred Rescue!  We have been accepted by GlobalGiving.org to participate in their April Challenge where by raising $4000 this month we will be continually eligible to run international fundraising projects with the support of Global Giving’s fantastic website.   Their will be a report on exactly where the funds brought in were used to help these horses.  Will you help us achieve our April goal to help set us up for future fundraising success?

Here are 3 ways you can help:

1. Join us at Hidden Acres Equestrian Center, 6360 Arborwood Ave.  Cocoa, FL 32927, on May 5th at 2 PM for our first annual Trail Ride for Thoroughbreds Day.  To participate in the trail ride and receive a free t-shirt and autographed photo of a thoroughbred that you have helped all you have to do is follow the following steps:

  1. Log onto our project page , http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/care-for-12-exracehorses/  or hit give now button below and donate a minimum of $25.
  2. Send an e-mail to hiddenacresec@gmail.com with your name, address, barn affiliation, and T-shirt size by April  21st.  Make sure it is the same name you used to donate on GlobalGiving.org so that I can verify your donation.
  3. Gather your friends to participate and enjoy a trail ride together to celebrate the safety of America’s Thoroughbreds.
Can’t make it to Hidden Acres on that day?  Organize your own trail ride at your barn!! We will be giving $200 to the barn that brings in the most trail riders to your trail ride for the cause!  Simply follow instructions above, and add to the e-mail that you will be attending trail ride elsewhere.

2.  Join us on Sunday, May 6th for a 3-part mini clinic series.  Cost is $50 per session OR $25 or more donation on our project page,  http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/care-for-12-exracehorses/ or hit give now button below. Sessions will be:

8am-11am:  Improve your Riding Position to Enhance your Horse’s Performance

12pm-3pm: Gymnastics for Improving  Dressage

4pm-7pm: Exercises to Improve Jumping

Maximum 6 people per session.

3.Simply log onto our project page, http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/care-for-12-exracehorses/  or hit give now button below and donate a minimum of $10 OR send a text to 80088 that says GIVE 10069 and $10 will automatically be donated to our project!
